Urap Recipe
Urap is a traditional dish featuring healthy vegetables with spicy grated coconut. It's easy to make! Here's the recipe:
Ingredients:
- 4 servings
- 300g semi-mature grated coconut
- 5 torn kaffir lime leaves
- 150g bean sprouts, blanched and drained
- 150g long beans, cut into 3cm, boiled and drained
- 300g water spinach, stems removed, boiled and drained
- 150g cabbage, chopped, boiled and drained
- 100g carrot, julienned, boiled and drained
- 25g basil leaves
Spice Paste: Blend into a paste
- 6 shallots
- 3 cloves garlic
- 3 red curly chilies
- 2 large red chilies
- 4cm roasted galangal
- 1.5cm roasted turmeric
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp palm sugar
Instructions:
- In a bowl, mix all boiled vegetables and basil leaves.
- Add the spice paste, grated coconut, and kaffir lime leaves. Mix well.
- Serve at room temperature. Enjoy your nutritious Urap!
Note: Adjust spice levels to taste.
