Urap Recipe

 Urap is a traditional dish featuring healthy vegetables with spicy grated coconut. It's easy to make! Here's the recipe:



Ingredients:

  • 4 servings
  • 300g semi-mature grated coconut
  • 5 torn kaffir lime leaves
  • 150g bean sprouts, blanched and drained
  • 150g long beans, cut into 3cm, boiled and drained
  • 300g water spinach, stems removed, boiled and drained
  • 150g cabbage, chopped, boiled and drained
  • 100g carrot, julienned, boiled and drained
  • 25g basil leaves

Spice Paste: Blend into a paste

  • 6 shallots
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 red curly chilies
  • 2 large red chilies
  • 4cm roasted galangal
  • 1.5cm roasted turmeric
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp palm sugar

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix all boiled vegetables and basil leaves.
  2. Add the spice paste, grated coconut, and kaffir lime leaves. Mix well.
  3. Serve at room temperature. Enjoy your nutritious Urap!

Note: Adjust spice levels to taste.
